Our Daily Soup Kitchen & Meal Service in Nelson Mandela Bay

Our Soup Kitchen program is a pillar of nourishment and dignity across Nelson Mandela Bay. We serve over 1,200 nutritious, warm meals monthly to individuals and families facing hunger. We operate at multiple serving points to provide immediate, barrier-free food relief in townships like Zwide and Motherwell.

Our Dignity-Centered Meal Service

We provide consistent, healthy food without requirements or judgment. This is a place for nourishment and connection for everyone.

Daily Meals: We serve warm meals Monday to Friday.

Essential Distribution: We distribute  food, clothing, blankets, and shoes to homeless individuals on-site.

Serving Locations: Central Port Elizabeth, New Brighton, Zwide, Motherwell, Walmer, and other key points.

Integrated Support: This is often the first point of contact where attendees access counselling, health support, and referrals to our other critical programs.

The True Cost of a Meal

Efficiency: We purchase or get donation of locally and prepare fresh food daily to maximize nutritional value.

Crisis Response: We distribute emergency food parcels to families in crisis, supplementing the daily hot meal service.

Community Hub: Our soup kitchen serves as an informal outreach center, allowing our staff to connect vulnerable individuals with health and housing resources.

Supporting Comprehensive Community Needs

Food insecurity is a daily crisis in the Eastern Cape. Your contribution funds the food, logistics, and supportive services attached to every meal we serve. We use this touchpoint to identify deeper needs and connect individuals to our full suite of help.
