Educational Support

Our Back to School Projects in Port Elizabeth

Our Back to School Project removes financial barriers to education for disadvantaged students across Port Elizabeth and Nelson Mandela Bay. Every year, we distribute essential school supplies to ensure children can start the academic year properly equipped, with dignity and confidence for learning success

Providing the Tools for Success

We work with local schools and community leaders to identify and equip children in greatest need before the academic year begins.

  • Essential Kit: Distribution of school bags, lunch boxes, comprehensive stationery (pens, pencils, books), and educational materials.
  • Uniform Support: Provision of school shoes and socks, and where possible, school uniforms, which are often the largest barrier to attendance.
  • Communities Served: Emzomcane Primary, Urban Academy, Colleen Glen Primary, creches in Ward 5 Central, Helenvale, Galvandale, Walmer, and New Brighton.

Removing Financial Barriers to Education

  •  Targeted Distribution: We coordinate with schools to ensure supplies reach the most vulnerable students, guaranteeing maximum impact.
  •  Impact on Dignity: Providing necessary items ensures children attend school without the shame associated with poverty, promoting retention and focus.
  •  Future Investment: This project is a foundational investment in the youth of the Eastern Cape, ensuring financial hardship does not derail educational continuity.

Investing in the Future of Nelson Mandela Bay

Your support directly funds the basic necessities that unlock a child’s potential for learning and future employment. We bridge the gap between financial hardship and educational opportunity.
